Due to continued growth in our service and installation departments, we currently have two full-time vacancies available.


INSTALLATION / MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

This vacancy is for a Service / Small Works Engineer. A company vehicle will be provided.

The successful candidate will have experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems, with a clean driving licence as travel in and around London is required on a daily basis.

Knowledge of B55839:1 / B55839:6 would be useful, and you must be able to work on your own or as part of a team. Communication skills are a must, as is your ability to fault find logically and accurately. You must have a flexible approach to work as this is a 24/7 industry.

You will need a CSCS card. Any job offer is subject to a satisfactory CRB check and references.

The responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Service and maintenance of fire systems to British Standards
  • Attend call-outs and fault find
  • Complete small works installations
  • Handle out of hours calls when required
This role is offered as full time position 40 hours a week, with one week on / one week off call out responsibility. Standard holiday of 20 days per annum.

Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 pa, dependent on experience.

TRAINEE FIRE ALARM SERVICE ENGINEER

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic candidate to train to become a Fire Alarm Service Engineer. A comprehensive training programme will be provided, which will help develop this role into a fulfilling fire safety career.

As a Trainee Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to service and maintenance calls for customers’ equipment in and around London. 

Working closely with the Service Department, you will ensure that all reported faults are dealt with, and each completion is recorded accurately. 

Duties will include: 

  • Conducting planned maintenance checks on fire alarm and associated systems 
  • Repairing faults 
  • Liaising directly with customers on specific problems 
  • Providing technical support to customers 
  • Completing small works 

To be considered for this position, you should ideally have: 

  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Good customer service skills 
  • Diligence 

Experience in an engineering and/or electrical environment would be an advantage to your application. 

This role is offered as full time position 40 hours a week, with some call out responsibilities. Standard holiday of 20 days per annum.

Salary: £12,000 to £18,000 pa, dependent on experience.
